Advanced sequencing – 60 Hours, $875

If you are looking to take your teaching to the next level, this is the module for you. You will learn how to sequence skillfully, in a way that really addresses your student’s needs.
We will study different traditional styles of Yoga and their unique sequences: Ashtanga, Gosh, Iyengar and Sivananda.
We will learn how to create Hatha and Vinyasa-flow sequences for specific injuries and other body considerations suchas for athletes, pre-natal, seniors and more.
We will explore different tempos for classes, from a power class to slow flow.
You will sharpen your knowledge around cues and prop use.
You will learn how to sequence a class around non-physical theme.
Restorative and Pranayama – 30 Hours, $450

Restorative yoga is a powerful antidote to the daily toll that stress and anxiety can take on the body, mind, and heart. This comprehensive training offers the skills, knowledge, and experience you need to lead your students through the healing journey of restorative yoga, including:
Architecture of all restorative poses: backbends, forward bends, side bends, inversions, and poses for pregnancy.
Emphasis on energetic and physical alignment in the poses.
Ability to guide students into states of deep relaxation.
Exploration of the human nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic) and subtle body systems.
Sequencing, use of props, scripts, and safe physical adjustments.
How to integrate applied anatomy and philosophy in a restorative class.
The use of pranayama, meditation, visualization, and affirmations to deepen states of relaxed awareness for healing.
You will leave this training able to create and teach a customized restorative yoga practice as well as knowledge on how to incorporate restorative poses in your regular asana classes.
Advanced Anatomy and the principles of assist – 45 Hours, $650
1/10/20 - 1/12/20, 1/24/20 - 1/26/20
Most of the Yoga classes we offer are Asana based, therefore a deeper knowledge of the physical body is required for a safe Asana based teachings.
In this training we will emphasize a set of safety protocols that center mostly on the teacher–student relationship, scope of practice, and the role that yoga plays in someone’s life.
You will learn how and when to instruct students to modify poses, the modifications, and how to curate your own sequences to adapt to specific situations or conditions. In addition you will learn how and when to employ these skills in not only verbal, directional cues, but hands on with a deeper application of anatomical knowledge.
You will learn how to carefully use your voice to help students experience a to safe yet challenging practices for them, and to help them explore a deeper practice. Learn how to educate our students regarding their own bodies.
Ethical considerations will be explored as will rich dialogue regarding trauma informed teaching practices, gender, cultural, and imperative skills for the modern yoga teacher.
Yin, and MFR – 60 Hours, $875
3/6/20 - 3/8/20, 3/13/20 - 3/15/20
This immersion of yin will be a study the origins and intentions behind this practice, how and why it is a different methodology than stretching and how to best pair this practice with a Yang practice.
We will discuss fascia (the connective tissue of the body), how it is autonomous with the muscular system, and how it can limit our range of motion or overall well-being.
You will be educated on an introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the 5 elements, and the relationship of meridians of the body with an informed yin practice.
You will experience self-application Myofascial release techniques to release muscular tension as well as the anatomical specifications
Upon completing this course you will be a more confident teacher of the yin practice and have a broader skill set in exploring a healthy range of motion with your students.
Philosophy and Mythology – 45 Hours, $650
5/29/20 - 5/31/20, 6/5/20 - 6/7/20
The philosophical and historical aspects of the yoga practice can be intimidating in the modern yoga setting for teachers and students. This training will provide a unique opportunity to study both the history and philosophy in depth.
We will study 2 Yoga philosophy texts: Bhagavad Gita and Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
We will study Hindu mythology narratives from Vedic literature, in epics like Mahabharata, Ramayana, how to explore the goal of myths in our lives and to re-create our own stories.
We will learn how to apply this knowledge to our own lives, how to theme our classes around those topics and how to skillfully offer beyond-Asana classes to our students.
Subtle body and Meditation – 30 Hours, $450
7/10/20 - 7/12/20
In the study of the subtle body we will explore different maps that were used along history to connect people to their body and mind, and to heal both. Among those systems are: Nadis, Koshas, Chakras, Meridians and the 5 Elements.
We will learn how to apply those systems to our teachings and our own practices.
We will engage in longer meditations and explore different ways to control the body and mind, concentration techniques, Pranayama and visualization.
This training will include the exploration of teaching a purposeful Yoga-Nidra practice.
This training can be taken in its entirety and completed in one year, or on an independent self managed pace.
