Lara Ederer

I was introduced to yoga in 2002 by a newly certified friend who needed practice students.  Over the next several years I ventured in and out of the practice as well as different styles until I found her "home" in Vinyasa and Ashtanga traditions.  I took my first abbreviated teacher training and teacher's assisting program in 2011 at Shakti Vinyasa.  In 2012 I completed her 200 Hour with Be Luminous with a primary focus in Power Vinyasa, Vinyasa, and Slow Flow.   I have spent the 3 years studying with Tiffany Cruickshank and Yoga Medicine, a school that is an adjunct to eastern and western medicine with a yogic component.  In August, 2018 I completed her 500 hour advanced studies and added yin, restorative, myofascial release, therapeutics, internal medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, orthopedics, and cadaver dissection studies to my training experiences.  I am also registered as a Therapeutic Specialist.

I teach at Yogabliss, Bala, Ritual House of Yoga, Sattva Yoga, Shakti Vinyasa, and Verde Organic.  I also teach privates, corporate yoga, and have filmed an online course for Yoga Medicine and Yogi Approved.

In addition to teaching in 2014 I co-founded Yogalab Northwest, a community inspired organization that hosts international yoga teachers in the Seattle area. YLNW has hosted Sri Dharma Mittra, Kino Macgregor, Jason Crandell, Tiffany Cruickshank, Chris Chavez, Amy Ippoliti, CarmenAguilar, and we have several new teachers scheduled for 2019.
